Please be advised that unfortunately, the DOE is not providing bus service on Thursday, June 8th or on Monday, June 12th because DOE schools will be closed on those days. However, DPHE is still in session! Scholars will have to find alternate transportation to school. We hope to see you at 7:30 a.m. on Thursday and Monday!
Please join us for Field Day on Friday, June 9th from 8 AM to 12 PM! We will all be going to Randall’s Island with our scholars for a day of FUN! Scholars may wear their college t-shirts to represent their classrooms, and they may wear any athletic shorts and sneakers on this day.
The bus is leaving right at 8 AM, so please ensure that you and your scholar arrive on time. If they miss the bus, you will have to arrange your own transportation to Randall’s Island. Families are welcome to meet us on Randall’s Island, Field 82 to join in on the fun!
Please join us for our 3rd graders’ performance of The Wiz on Thursday, June 15th at 5:30 PM in the DPHE auditorium. We hope that you will join us that evening to support our scholars! Please reach out to us if you have any questions regarding the performance.
Please read the following notice carefully! All toys and electronics must be kept inside your scholar’s backpack at all times during the school day. All electronics, including cell phones, must be turned off before entering the school building. DPHE cannot be held responsible for any lost items, including electronic devices, so we highly recommend that scholars keep them at home.
Fidget spinners have been becoming increasingly popular, and while their intended purpose is to calm and focus children and adults, they have become a significant distraction. These toys should be kept at home or stowed away at all times during the school day. If a DPHE teacher or staff member finds a toy or electronic device during the school day, we will take the item until a parent or family member is able to pick it up.
Thank you for the continued support, and feel free to reach out with any questions!
